Facebook's Zuckerberg Defends New Facebook Timeline, Ticker

Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg offered a defense of the company's new redesign, soon after its new features were launched.
Although the first polls concerning the redesign have been generally negative, the reaction was essentially anticipated. That's because Facebook executives were asked - twice - at a press conference on Thursday following Zuckerberg's announcement of the new Timeline layout of the company's user pages. The new changes had been announced just moments before, and were barely live.
(Jill Duffy's story, 10 Things You Should Know About Facebook Timeline offers a more in-depth examination of what those changes are and what they'll look like.)
At the press conference, reporters asked Facebook executives to address the number of users who would inevitably turn up their noses at the new changes. Zuckerberg appeared at the conference midway through, and fielded the second question at the end of the session. He gently chided those among Facebook's 800 million users who had criticized the service without using it.
"The recent update with the news feed and ticker, we've actually been testing that with people for months… we brought a lot of people into the office, to get their feedback," Zuckerberg said.
"With the new apps, none of the new functionality is going to be added until you choose you want to add the reading app or the cooking app or the running app," Zuckerberg added. "Everyone's going to have complete control of how they're [using it]. With Timeline, we're working on smoothing out the rough edges. We launched the beta just now. People just signed up for that.
"But we're definitely going to get a lot of feedback in the coming weeks, and before we roll it out," Zuckerberg addeed. "For sure, they'll be feedback. So we definitely listen and we try to get feedback…from people who are actually engaging with the service. But also at the same time, the service is just moving quickly, and we want to be innovative and keep on building new things. And we want to refresh old versions and roll out new versions of things."
The new Timelines replace the concept of the traditional Wall and Profile; those terms won't be used by Facebook going forward. And although users can opt out of the new layout going forward, eventually they'll be forced to switch to Timelines, if for no other reason other than Facebook won't be able to manage the two versions.
In both his keynote and in other sessions, Facebook executives also made it clear that users will be able to maintain granular privacy settings for each piece of content, essentially showing different Timelines to different groups of users.
The upcoming "Smart Lists" feature is also expected to help smooth that process, a source at Facebook said.
The rollout of Timelines is expected to proceed "really slowly," executives said, primarily so that users can provide feedback and features can be tweaked and altered. "This is really a big step forward," chief technical officer Bret Taylor said.
As for one addition that users have asked for - an iPad app - don't hold your breath.

Yuan will be the world's main reserve currency within ten years !!!

As trade within Asia becomes increasingly centred on China, it will start to make sense to denominate that trade in yuan. And since the yuan is already a good store of value, it will soon also become a medium of exchange. Once these conditions are in place, it will make sense to use the yuan as a reserve currency.
Whether the dollar will fall from its status of the major foreign reserve currency is one thing. Whether the Yuan will eventually become a major foreign reserve currency is another thing.
In recent years China has never been truly politically stable. Yes, the shift of power is quite stable (at least from what we see). Yes, there are not yet any major political or social upheaval that can be compared with the Tiananmen square protest occurred in 1989 or the current Arab Spring. However, the political and social problems in China is just being repressed which created the seemingly harmonic situation.
Chinese government's spending on maintaining social stability is even much higher than its military expenditure
And such spending is increasing continuously, despite the government's willingness to exand its influence in Asia-Pacific area (and ultimately the world) which requires great military power. This imlies that Chinese rulers consider its social instability to be an even greater problem (or challenge) than national defense. The arrest of Liu Xiaobo, Zhao Lianhai, Ai Weiwei and Wang Lihong further showed the China's instability, as the government arrests them for fearing that those discontent would gather together and create an upheaval. The serious corruption and the way the government handle the incidents such as the discover of problematic milk powder that contained melamine and the Wenzhou train collision showed showed the injustice of the government, which will increase people's discontent towards the government and will in turn makes the government to spend more on stability as well as repressing much on the sound of discontent, and again lead to people's discontent. If such spiral continues, it can lead to a great social and political instability.
Nowaday, China is similar to the Qianlung era of Qing Dynasty - economic prosperity, with serious corruption and great government spending. The corruption then has asorbed much of the prosperity and caused much social problem and social injustice, which lead to the decline in the emperor's power, and subsequently the fall of the emperor. Can the Chinese dictatorial/authoritarial government stop its corruption? According to Chinese history, corruption free cannot last long since the Qin Dynasty.
For the yuan to displace the dollar, China has to manage things perfectly and America has to screw up badly.
there is always a risk of a major upheaval in China. Yet China's policy touch has been quite assured—in contrast to America, which is on a seemingly inexorable path to fiscal ruin.
China's economic muscle is on its own enough to determine the yuan's victory over the dollar; and that the prestige that goes with issuing the world's reserve currency is a big enough prize to mean China will make the changes needed to ensure it happens. China is a big economy largely by dint of its population. It is not yet rich in terms of per-person income. It also faces a demographic turning point in 10-15 years' time. When Japan started to get old (at a point when it was a lot richer than China), the yen's challenge to the dollar started to fade too,

The reason why the Western currencies and especially the US Dollar have been reserve currencies in the global markets for years is not only because of their economic dominance. They have kept an open and transparent system for dealing in their currencies and have allowed market forces to control their pricing and need. The Chinese have grown to be an economic power house but their internal financial systems, state control over its economy and their secrecy make the Chinese Yuan an unlikely candidate to achieve reserve currency status. It is worth remembering that during the Cold War India & Russia shared bilateral trading which was linked to the Russian Rouble. That experiment did not stand up to the vagaries of the market when India started its path to liberalization. Similarly, the Chinese Yuan needs to be truly free floating with an open and transparent Chinese economy before it can become the lingua franca of global trade and economics.
10 years is a long time, over which much can change, but a reserve currency requires more than just trade and brings with it more baggage than just bragging rights. Being a reserve currency adds value, which means your currency is always overvalued from what it would be without that status.

The Chinese have always deliberately undervalued their currency to maintain a trade advantage. Perhaps some day they will want to pursue a consumer economy at the expense of being a manufacturing economy, but it is difficult to have the vision to imagine that change taking place.

No doubt China will become more and more important in terms of its economic clout and there will be a concomitant demand for transactions to take place in its currency. But, without a democratic process, an independent reserve system and a free and floating exchange rate the RMB will not have a chance of being the reserve currency.
Taking two exceptions the results are the same. 1) Popular revolution, democracy and independent reserve system put in place. Need approximately five years after the set-up to have the trust of the WW system.
2) Chinese government decides that it is in its interest. They claim an independent reserve system, the world buys the story, then first sign of issues China clamps down and all the suckers make huge losses never to trust the Chinese again.

In addition, this is not a one way affair. All WW countries rely on the USD. What other currency are they to use as a reference? The Euro? The Bolivar?!?
The ideal currency is one which has greatly diversified economy underlying it -- one with a deep and growing root system, and one stabilized by an extensive network of trading relationships. High and growing productivity helps too, as does sovereign wealth.
Sounds more like present and future China, and less like present and future America. Unless of course America cleans up its act very quickly.
China will only consider granting full capital-account convertibility to the yuan when it has reached its equilibrium level. Doing so prematurely would lead to a spike, and possibly an overshoot, in the value of the yuan. But if the yuan is made convertible only when it has reached its equilibrium level, it may no longer appreciate with certainty. Investors may be mesmerised by the yuan partly because it seems only to appreciate and never to depreciate. But, ironically, if foreign investors are allowed to buy and hold yuan, that will be precisely the moment when the future direction of the yuan becomes unclear.

a "greener" home

green bunglow

1. First and foremost get an architect who understands what growing green means, they are the ones who will make the design and can advise you the best

2. Use of solar energy wherever required

3. Water harvesting should be done. Both ground water recharge and storage tanks should be created. Storgae tanks would help in with your garden and with your flushing system

4. Try and incorporate illumination by as much natural lighting as possible, I dont think pune has many hot hot summer months so this will be possible by using lots of glass

5. Study the wind pattern in your region and try to have as much cross ventilation as possible in the rooms, can save heavily on electricity bills

6. Investing in good quality electrical wires and sensible uncluttered wiring can save lots of electricity, do not go for extra plug points if not required.

7. For avoiding point no 6, it is prudent that you also decide your interiors when the internal wiring is being done, so you exactly know that in a room where the bed will be so accordingly you will know where the tv point should be or the AC point should be and so on.
When wires are cut and rejoined there is some loss of currnet.
7a. Similarly decide about plumbing in advance also, decide what faucets, the make and the deisgn. Decide what wc or what sink would you be using. This will help the plumber and save you money in later stages.

8. Termite treatment is a must if the area is termite infested. Please get it done thoroughly by a reputed vendor. They usually give a 5 yrs guarantee (ofcourse with lots of underlines). If I was you I would definitely get treatment done but apart from that I would avoid using wood for window frames and door frames on the ground level. Stone ones look pretty, are termite proof and definitely much cheaper than wood

9. For home flooring I think tiles would be the best, or you could go in for marble

Also going green reminds me that the ITC Green centre building in Gurgaon has been winning lots of awards national and international for its contribution towards the environment.

There are lots of articles on the net telling what all does the building has. I know some of the points may not be usable at home but you could get lots of ideas from there

builder in pune who builds its project with green certification?

Jawadekars Eco Homes.

Other than regular measures like solar, rain water harvesting , they are also using wind power, eco friendly bricks etc. i will suggest visit their website for better idea once.

Which are we are looking at in pune?

PMC gives 10% discount on property tax with eco certification
could not find much online but here is something related
SUNLIGHT DIRECT

solar passive architecture

1. Double wall construction with an air gap in-between for outer walls of the house. This reduces the overall heat transfer coefficient and the house remains cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

2. On the floor of the first floor, we used semi-opaque toughened glass (~20 mm thick). It can easily take up human or furniture load. It effectively illuminates the ground floor and we don't have to use tube-light/bulb during daytime. The semi-opaqueness also ensures privacy for first floor occupants
Do not go for CFL's. Go for LED lights instead. There are many vendors supplying them, May be expensive now but you have a 10 year odd life time and lower consumption of electricity which will help you.

Try to make your rooms very spacious and roomy, Huge windows in the kitchen is very important.

Keep big ventilators around your house. This gets both light and wind.

Install a solar water heater and rain water harvesting now itself.

Make a kitchen garden with the water used in your kitchen going directly to a tank in your garden. This water will be good and will not be wasted.

Check wooden flooring. This will be easier to maintain too.
Please look out the Auroville Earth Institute workshops and training videos or other programs

http://www.earth-auroville.com/index.php?nav=about&lang_code=en

A visit to Auroville is highly recommended.

Try to use recycled waste water to be used for flushing , this step is much easier and cost effective to implement when initial plumbing is done. This will definitely save lot of potable water going down the drain via flush.
Some ideas about going green apart from LED lighting, water reuse etc.
1. Used/antique furniture - All furniture is mostly made of wood or wood products so re using them would be ECO friendly
2. Reclaimed wood flooring - This is not as inexpensive as you would want it to be but is made from timber obtained from demolished buildings
3. Re use doors and windows from old buildings - this is self explanatory.
4. Atthangudi tiles - These are hand made in the Chettinad region of Tamilnadu apart from providing employment to rural artisans they also are very low in energy consumption and also keep the home cooler in summers.
Some pictures: My way of going green
1. Atthangudi tiles
2. A reclaimed teakwood cane sofa
3. An old swing
4. Reclaimed wooden flooring
5. A pair of old reclaimed pillars and a beam
6. A rosewood crockery cupboard made from 2 old cupboards
7. Atthangudi flooring, old 4 poster bed, old dressing table, old writing table and a laundry box

For construction you could look at using hollow clay blocks, provided you get a good mason who can lay them.
The company claims its stronger than cement blocks

Benefits are
- No paint
- No plastering
- Better thermal insulation
- Eco friendly look and feel

Ref: http://www.wienerberger.in
have found an alternate called breezair to the AC or other options. See link
— Breezair India :: Evaporative Air Cooling Systems

First of all, unless the builder is able to understand your ideas, you may not really be able to do all the eco friendly solutions. So, try to find a good architect as several have suggested.

Some technologies:
1. Using hollow clay blocks. Weinerberger is a german company, but frankly, locally made Indian blocks are also pretty good if you are fine to go with a rustic look.

Why is this eco friendly: Cement industry is pretty heavy on energy usage, and so, you save all this.
Painting cost is far less.

2. Use of stone to enhance the look as well as make it eco friendly.
Again painting cost is less, which means you are making it more eco friendly.

3. Use of tall windows, which reach all the way up to the ceiling and which have a small ventilator on the top. This allows hot air which moves up in the room to escape via the ventilators. Cooler air will come through the windows.

reference: The Hindu : FEATURES / PROPERTY PLUS : In praise of tall windows

4. Any good architect should plan for cross ventilation for good air flow. Good airflow means, no need to use AC. Well, personally i feel buildings can be designed to never need AC - after all most of us grew up in non- ac envirnoments and it was pretty comfortable then due to our building designs.

5. Use of hollow clay blocks in the south west portions specially to reduce heat gain.

6. Painting the roof white to reflect heat.

7. Having a layer of hollow clay blocks under the top most roof, which again creates a layer of air, and this reduces heat propogation from the roof.

The property plus section in The Hindu has several Green initiatives. Search through them.

Please refer to below article about building a real eco-friendly home. It has no water connection. I was amazed to read about it and have book marked it since. If you search around you may get contact details for this person.

If you decide to go for a architect Chitra Vishwanath is a very known name in Bangalore for building eco friendly houses. You will be able to find some more architects with some search. I would suggest you should consult them to leverage their experience and if budget permits their services.

So its important to have a good design than think of the superficials like rain water harvesting or led lights or solar panels etc. these can be implemented at any stage. The design if wrongly done cannot be redone (without major costs). For me the design is a non negotiable, every thing else can be worked around it.

Discuss these issues with your architects. From the model, it seems that your house will be like any other "contemporary" design. The ancient practise of having courtyards was also to enable low pressure areas inside the house so that air from outside could be brought in.

Farmer making state's first mud house colony - Times Of India

The three most important criteria for a TRUE green building are:

1) Least adverse impact on the environment while building the house. This will mean, use of material which is locally manufactured AND most suited to the local micro-climate, as far as possible. Transportation alone, can hugely add to the structure's ecological footprint. Material commonly used in traditional homes in any region, is always friendlier to the climate of that region. Your architect can help you with specifics, as this is a general guideline.

2) Least adverse impact on the environment while planning the house. The right kind of plan / layout will go a long way in ensuring that your house stays green through its lifespan. Windows located in the east / north help, while those in the south / west should be avoided. A courtyard will definitely help in naturally taking hot air out of the house, as will tall windows with ventilators and cross-ventilation. Thicker / insulated walls in the south and west will help. Besided these basics, there are many criteria with regard to planning / locations of rooms, which can be discussed in detail.

3) Least adverse impact on the environment while using the house. This is where active technologies come into play. Before you get into gadgets like solar panels, windmills, et al, do consider the following: Simple ways to harvest rainwater, will keep your groundwater levels "charged". Recycle your kitchen drain water for toilet flushing, gardening, and such tasks. Incorporate a compost-pit to create garden fertilisers from your wet waste. Remember, the fundamental thought for green living is "Take the least, waste the least". When you learn to recycle your resources, you will automatically "take the least" from outside - get it ??

If you follow these basic guidelines, and incorporate what you can right at planning stage, you won't have as much need for fancy and expensive gadgets. Many so-called eco-friendly gadgets claim to be cheap to run, but go deeper and understand the REAL cost-benefit ratio. Most gadgets in their manufacturing stage itself, leave such a HUGE negative environmental impact, that they negate their very existence. Check whether you really need these.

Everonn

After CEO went to jail and JJ Irani resigned, i thought that this stock will come to 100 odd or below but it is bouncing back wi th no looking back. it seems it will touch 420 very soon.
so those who ride on high risk stocks can still get into the bandwagon and make some quick buck,
but Educomp still looks very stable and will go to 260 levels in next3-4 sessions.
But i will stick to Tata stell , TCS and tata motors.and do n
ot forget LIC Housing.

because mine is hard earned money and i cannot waste it on some fly by night operator from Dubai who is ready to take huge stake in EVERONN.

God Bless

Top Five Picks for Indian Stock Market

Safe Ones are here for you for the current Indian Market

TCS

Experience Certainty’
TCS has the tendency to bounce back from 950 level.
It does not stay there for more than 10 days.
So you have to have the patient to wait for those crucial 10 days before it crosses 1000 marks.
This is based on the last 2 years price pattern.
If you think at current level TCS is expensive, then hang on for some time when it goes below Rs.1000 levels to bounce back again.
Tata Culture "do more and speak later"

Tata Motors
Tata Motors can see 180 levels very soon but the resistance will be huge at 164-168 levels.
But for long term investors  who are here for 2-3 years , this is the right time to start buying at current level.( if you want to buy 100 shares, buy 20 now and then see the trend and decide, no need to buy all the hundred in one day. This is just an expample.)
JLR sales will push the stock to a new high but in short term it may see a fall to the level of 134- 149.
Sales volumes at Jaguar-Land Rover, the two marquee U.K.-based brands that the company acquired from Ford Motor Co. in 2008, rose 26% in 2010-11. The unit accounted for about 63% of Tata Motor’s total sales and 84% of its profit during the fiscal year.

Tata Steel .

Already written a full blog on this.

HDFC Bank

I am not finding much to write about the best bank in India , most conservative bank, the best risk management team among its peers, High on integrity, moral and what not.
Current leadership is amazing and i am sure your money is not going to go anywhere if you invest in HDFC. Buy at current levels and wait for 2-3 years.

No need to write more on these companies as they are the real blue chips of India and are the safest bets at current levels .
.
Mahindra & Mahindra

This is one good stock which has not fallen much after the US downgrade by S&P.
It has seen some very strong support from 733 to 790. But now it is at a new peak and it can  go to any height . we may see 825 levels soon .
Bu this is not the right level for retail investors to touch this stock. Rural focus will give this stock a real thrust in festival season.
Mind you, M&M is not giving any discount to its buyers at current scenarion where all other players are giving discounts ranging from 30 thousand to 1 lac. This shows the inherhent strength of the company.
If you are holding this stock then there is no need to sell all but you can certainly book profits ( at least 30-40 percent) and you can buy at lower levels which it will see soon after festivsal season.

Some High Risk Bets which i buy but not always.

Shriram Transport Fianace ( High Risk - High Gain)
Titan industries ( High Risk - High Gain)
GVK Power( High Risk  - High Gain)
Educomp( High Risk - High Gain)
LIC Housing ( the coolest one)

I will not talk about these stocks as lots of  support for these volatile counters are existing on every blog.
But you must remember these are the stocks which moves faster then their peers but when they fall , only god can stop them.
LIC Housing is the most stable one among others.
it has a range between 191 to 220.
It s a buy below 190 and sell at 240 since last one year.
As far as Titan is concerned, you know it and who drives it high. People who buy it also knows that who is the driver for Titan. Good buy below 200 levels.
Strong sell at 230 levels at current market scenario.
educomp again a high risk high return stock , already had a good run after a massive fall.

Peer everonn is now driven by Gandhi Ji who is considered to have midas touch. but looks like a typical  fly by night operator. who  will go behind the scene after 4-5 years. Till then , lets enjoy the party.

Tata Motors - Best is yet to come

Tata Motors Limited (NSE: TATAMOTORS, BSE: 500570, NYSE: TTM, NASDAQ: TTM) is a multinational automotive corporation headquartered in Mumbai, India. Part of the Tata Group, it was formerly known as TELCO (TATA Engineering and Locomotive Company).
Tata Motors is India’s largest automobile company, with consolidated net profit of 9,274 crore (US$2.07 billion) in 2010–11. It is the leader in commercial vehicles and among the top three in passenger vehicles. Tata Motors has products in the compact, midsize car and utility vehicle segments. The company is the world's fourth largest truck manufacturer, the world's second largest bus manufacturer, and employs 50,000 workers.[3] Since first rolled out in 1954, Tata Motors has produced and sold over 4 million vehicles in India.

Established in 1945, when the company began manufacturing locomotives, the company manufactured its first commercial vehicle in 1954 in a collaboration with Daimler-Benz AG, which ended in 1969.[5] Tata Motors is a dual-listed company traded on both the Bombay Stock Exchange, as well as on the New York Stock Exchange. Tata Motors in 2005, was ranked among the top 10 corporations in India with an annual revenue exceeding INR 320 billion. In 2010, Tata Motors surpassed Reliance to win the coveted title of 'India's most valuable brand' in an annual survey conducted by Brand Finance and The Economic Times.[6]
Tata Motors has auto manufacturing and assembly plants in Jamshedpur, Pantnagar, Lucknow, Sanand, Dharwad and Pune in India, as well as in Argentina, South Africa, Thailand and the United Kingdom.

JLR keeps the moolah flowing at Tata Motors

For Tata Motors, hope comes from its European subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).
The British luxury car maker reported a healthy wholesale volume growth of 31% during August, with major thrust coming from its new launches and strong demand from China.
JLR’s August global sales grew 31% year on year to 21,242 units, driven by Land Rover sales at 17,833 units (up 43%), while Jaguar sales at 3,409 units declined 10% for the same period.
According to analysts, strong focus on emerging markets such as China and newly launched Evoque will drive volumes for the company. To boost its presence in the Chinese market, Tata Motors is currently scouting for a partner in that country. On the other hand, North America and Europe, which contribute around 22% of company’s overall sales, are currently witnessing moderation in demand due to economic slowdown.
“We believe that the OEM is better positioned to withstand the downturn in this current cycle given that: I) Range Rover’Evoque’ will create a new segment for Land Rover (the product has 18,000 pre bookings already) ii) China accounts for 15% of volumes (as compared to 5% earlier) and is likely to witness healthy growth over the near term,” wrote JP Morgan analysts Aditya Makharia and Ritesh Gupta wrote in their research report on Thursday.
“The new Jaguar XF is likely to double the addressable market as this will be the first Jaguar with CO2 emissions below 150g/km, a crucial cut-off point for fleet buyers.

Evoque, which is the smallest and the most fuel-efficient Range Rover, will make Range Rover affordable for a larger market. The initial response to Evoque has been very strong,” wrote Amit Mishra and Priya Ranjan in a recent Macquarie report.
JLR’s other German competitors, Audi, BMW and Mercedes also reported healthy growth globally during August. Audi grew 17%, while BMW and Mercedes Benz grew 8%, respectively.
A concern over JLR’s sales was raised when recently company’s chief, Carl-Peter Forster, resigned on an immediate basis citing “unavoidable personal circumstances”. The announcement, which comes just 18 months after the German executive joined the Indian company, has raised eyebrows. Forster helped the JLR unit turn profitable.
However, Tata Motors said that Forster resignation will not have an impact. According to a news agency report, Tata Motors said the sudden exit of Carl-Peter Forster will not impact the future of JLR, stating that “it would be wrong to credit” the former executive for turning around the British marquee.
Where company’s commercial vehicle demand remained robust, its passenger vehicle division decelerated. “Tata Motors management expressed concerns on demand in the domestic PV segment, where its market share has reduced to 10- 12% from 16-17%. This segment has also been highly impacted by interest rate hikes,” said Jamshed Dadabhoy, in a Citi report on September 15.
He said, “In order to revive sales, the company plans to increase brand publicity and promotion while expanding the dealership network in the short term. Over the longer term, the management aims to increase frequency of new model launches, enter new segments and improve overall product quality. “
As far as capex is concerned, the company is taking slow steps to understand market sentiments. The management believes that the domestic CV business has been underinvested in the past and has thus increased capex. While expecting the capex to be funded through internal accruals, the management could curtail capital expenditure if macro environment deteriorates further,” wrote Dadabhoy.

Tata Motors Filed 3% Hike in Global Sales for August 2011
The native automaker Tata Motors reveled the descent success of the company and stated that its global sales increased by 3% to 87,459 units in August 2011 as against to the corresponding month of last year.
Even the luxury auto brand Jaguar Land Rover owned by Tata Motors posted 31% growth with 21,242 unit sales in August 2011, as mentioned by the domestic automobile manufacturer. On the contrary, sales of luxury sedans from Jaguar brand diminished by 10% to 3,409 units in same month of August 2011 but Land Rover sales raised by 43% with 17,833 vehicle sales.
As per details, the total passenger vehicle sales of Tata Motors dropped by 35% with only 18,194 unit sales in August 2011 as compared to same month of last year. Brand’s commercial vehicle sales grew by 17% to 48,023 units in comparison to same month of last year.
Tata Motors Group sales enhanced last month and it comprises of Tata, Tata Daewoo and Hispano Carrocera range of commercial vehicles, Tata passenger vehicles, along with locally distributed brands Jaguar and Land Rover
The stock underwent a great selling pressure on the Sensex when there were rumors circulating about its falling sales figures for the passenger vehicles segment both in the domestic as well as the foreign markets. To top it all, the global slowdown had also reduced the pace of growth in the luxury car segment of the Jaguar & Land Rover units.

The other bad news that came about was the resignation of the company’s CEO, Carl Peter Forster and it had further dampened the market and trade volumes of the stock due to unhealthy sentiments flowing around.
Analysts are of the v iew that the markets have well factored the near term concerns about the company and do not see any significant fall in the stock prices in the coming times.
